THE JOYS AND CHALLENGES OF ILLUSTRATING SEX IN COMICS

4/17/2023

Last weekend, I started sketching the final scene of my comic, and it feels good to be so close to the finish line. As I've written before, the work doesn't end there. There's still a long way to go before this piece is published.

Although there's a lot of work, I'm having fun with this project. I sent sketches to my friends and joked that I'd end up in hell because of this project. It was a sex scene that I illustrated in my own crazy way. Sex is a natural thing for me, and I'm not ashamed to depict it. But when you add some absurd element to it, it makes me laugh. And I'm not the only one. I got feedback from my friends that my sketch of the scene is amazing and that if it lands me in hell, it's worth it.

Over the weekend, the weather was beautiful, and I took my dog Conan for walks from time to time. Spring is just around the corner, and we went to the beach to watch the ice melt. Conan wanted to run on the ice despite it melting almost before our eyes. As you can see from the picture, the dog is pissed off when the fun is denied.

I will try to finish the last scene of my comic this week. After that, I might get a proof copy of the book and test it with various people. If the book causes strong reactions, I know I'm on the right path.

This draft is on the tame side, as I don't want to reveal what happens on the next page at this stage. I can tell you that it's not about explicit details, but there's some other crazy stuff coming ;)
